Domestic airlines’ punctuality better than world average


The number of delayed or cancelled flights operated by national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines and budget carriers Vietjet and Jetstar Pacific in the first eight months of the year was lower than the world average of 25%.

Vietnam Airlines is reported to have had 10,520 delayed flights in the January – August period, or 12% of all flights.

According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, the three carriers reached 75% of flights on time. Vietnam Airlines was reported to have operated 87,555 flights, 12% of which were delayed.
