
Climate Sense is a small Vietnamese company established in 2016. It provides research and advisory services on climate change adaptation and mitigation. It is also a co-developer and co-investor in small solar Photovoltaics (PV) systems combined with agricultural production.
Climate Sense aims to support Viet Nam and the Vietnamese in developing a climate resilient and low-carbon economy, while ensuring social justice, poverty elimination, and environmental sustainability. Its director and co-owner is Dutch, and it contracts administrative services as well as Vietnamese experts on a project basis.
Climate Sense clients have included the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO), Shire Oak International (UK), Royal Haskoning/DHV, several UN organisations operating in Viet Nam, and Vietnamese and international non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and foundations, as well as Government departments and institutes.
Climate Sense research and advisory services focus on
- policy advice on climate change adaptation, greenhouse gas emission mitigation, and related financing, monitoring, capacity building
- climate change adaptation investments and actions, in particular flood, drought and salinity related challenges in the Mekong Delta
- greenhouse gas emission mitigation investments and actions, in particular development and deployment of solar Photovoltaic (PV) systems
Climate Sense is developing partnerships with other businesses and NGOs in these areas.
