FrieslandCampina is a leading dairy corporation in the Netherlands with over 145 years of worldwide operations. FrieslandCampina has operated in Vietnam for over 20 years, supplied every year over 1.5 billion consumer units of high quality milk with many preferred brands such as Dutch Lady, Friso, Yomost, Fristi, Hoan Hao, Ovaltine.
Development and sustainability
Since 1996, FrieslandCampina has invested in expanding manufacturing in Vietnam. The two factories in Binh Duong and Ha Nam are well-equipped with advanced facilities and automated management system, including the comprehensive sewage treatment system, saving-energy measures and using clean energy sources, for the environmental protection.
Besides, FrieslandCampina Vietnam has cooperated for sustainable business development with above 150 distributors, 700 domestic suppliers and more than 150,000 retailer households. The Dairy Development Program (DDP) has focused on supporting the sustainable development of dairy farming in Vietnam with participating of over 2,500 farms & households and producing 65,000 tons of milk per year.
In society aspects, with the Den Dom Dom program, FrieslandCampina Vietnam has built 22 new schools throughout the country, awarded over 25,000 scholarships for needy children in remote areas to help them continue schooling.
Actitivities with DBAV
Over 20 years constantly creating share value with significant contribution to the development and improvement of living standards in Vietnam, FrieslandCampina Vietnam was honored to receive the 1st grade Labor Medal from the Government in 2016 & won the best sustainable company at the BeneLux Awards organized by Dutch Business Association in Viet Nam (DBAV) and Belgian-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce in Viet Nam (Beluxcham) and many awards from Vietnamese Government such as: the certificate of merit from the Prime Minister for the significant contribution to rural development of Vietnam in the period of 2011 – 2015, the awards from the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment for the excellent achievements in environmental protection, the certificate of merit from the Minister of Education and Training for its outstanding contributions to assisting school children and teachers in remote and disadvantaged areas.
