Global supplier on energy sector
Shell is an international energy company with expertise in the exploration, production, refining and marketing of oil and natural gas, and the manufacturing and marketing of chemicals. With around 93,000 employees in more than 70 countries and territories, they use advanced technologies and take an innovative approach to help build a sustainable energy future.
Shell was present in Viet Nam in 1894 with kerosene trade and returned to the country in 1989 with upstream activities, then downstream operation followed. Currently, Shell’s core business in Viet Nam is lubricants – marketing a wide range of lubes products to meet the needs from B2B to B2C customers, from mass transports to individual mobility. Shell continues working to expand its presence in Viet Nam.
Strong commitment to the community
Shell is willing to share knowledge, experience and good practices with the community and build a safer environment together. In the face of traffic safety, especially in road traffic, there are many accidents causing damages on human and property, Shell has participated in sponsoring the Road Safety Association. Bridge (GRSP) and the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Society (IFRC) expand and implement the Safe Road to School project – a safe home for students and teachers in elementary and middle schools in Phuoc Thai and Long Phuoc communes (Dong Nai province).
Shell encourages multilateral cooperation, from scientific researchers within and outside the industry, policy makers, scholars, governments and young people to come up with breakthrough solutions. With that spirit, Shell organised a fuel-efficient vehicle competition called Shell Eco-marathon. This is a special competition that challenges global students to design, build and operate fuel-efficient vehicles. Student teams will compete on the track to see which car will travel the farthest distance with the least amount of fuel.
