Foreign investors interested in North-South Expressway component project
The management board of the North-South Expressway project will issue prequalification documents to bidders of the National Highway 45-Nghi Son section of the project from May 8 to July 8, according to Cao Viet Hung, head of the board’s Planning Office.
Hung said that so far, along with domestic firms, a number of foreign investors, including those from the Republic of Korea, France and Japan, have shown interest in the project.
The project will be implemented in the public-private partnership (PPP) format.
According to the Ministry of Transport, the section from National Highway 45 to Nghi Son under the Eastern North-South Expressway is 43 km in length, with a total investment of about VND 6.3 trillion (USD 207.9 million), with the State budget funding about VND 2 trillion (USD 86 million).
The 654 km Eastern North-South Expressway project in the 2017-2020 period has a total investment of over VND 118.71 trillion (USD 5.1 billion), with VND 55 trillion (USD2.36 billion) sourced from the state budget.
It has 11 component projects, including three State-invested and eight PPP projects.
