On 13 May, DBAV – in collaboration with AmCham Vietnam, the Consulate General of the Netherlands, and TMF Group Vietnam – convened a high-level dialogue to explore how shifting global trade policies and new tariffs are reshaping business strategies in Vietnam.
The session opened with Mrs. Fleur Goote (DBAV) highlighting the urgency of staying ahead in a shifting trade landscape, setting the stage for Mr. Daniël Stork (Consul General) to emphasize the Netherlands’ commitment to fair trade and collaboration. Mr. Tim Evans (HSBC) followed with a focus on financial agility amid global uncertainty, while Mr. An Vo (TMF Group) addressed the complexity of compliance and cross-border operations. Adding the business community’s voice, Mr. Travis Mitchell (AmCham) called for stronger government-business engagement to navigate regulatory unpredictability.
🎙 The session wrapped with an open, candid Q&A led by Consul General Stork – a rare opportunity where business leaders spoke honestly about their worries, adaptive strategies, and the need for stronger public-private dialogue.
📌 A key takeaway: Adaptability, risk-planning and collaboration are no longer optional – they’re survival strategies.
