DBAV x RMIT Vietnam: Connecting Industry with the Next Generation of Talent
RMIT University, a global leader in education and industry collaboration, has been a valued member of DBAV since 2023. As one of the top international universities in Vietnam, RMIT is dedicated to bridging the gap between academia and industry by equipping students with practical skills and real-world experience.
Over the years, DBAV and RMIT have joined forces on various impactful initiatives, including the Ready to Export (R2E) program, where RMIT lecturers shared valuable insights and mentorship. Now, DBAV members are invited to take an active role in shaping future professionals through RMIT’s Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) and Flagship Internship Program.
Impact by the Numbers
This collaboration is more than a program—it’s a proven pathway to talent development and recruitment. Each year, RMIT promotes over 2,000 internship opportunities, connecting a highly motivated student body with real-world industry experience. More than 1,000 students enroll annually in the Flagship Internship Program, supported by a network of 524 active industry partners—34% of whom return regularly to hire. The results speak volumes: an impressive 73% of internships lead to employment. Backed by dedicated support services, an exclusive Careers Online Portal, and dynamic recruitment events such as the Careers Festival, Summer Job Fair, and Recruitment Week, RMIT ensures a high-quality experience for both students and employers. This strong ecosystem creates meaningful outcomes and reinforces RMIT’s role as a bridge between education and the workforce
Ways to Get Involved
🔹 Be a Guest Speaker: Inspire students by sharing industry expertise in lectures, panel discussions, or career-focused workshops. This is a chance to offer students unique, real-world insights while positioning your company as a thought leader.
🔹 Host a Company Visit: Welcome students into your workplace to give them a firsthand look at your operations and culture. These immersive visits help students understand business practices beyond the classroom.
🔹 Provide Case Studies & Project-Based Assessments: Let students solve real-world business challenges! Your company can submit case studies or collaborate on course assessments that encourage creative thinking, teamwork, and innovation.
🔹 Offer Internship Opportunities: Become a host employer in RMIT’s Flagship Internship Program and tap into a diverse talent pool of final-year students from disciplines such as Digital Marketing, IT, Engineering, Communication, and Hospitality. Students undertake full-time internships (40–48 hours per week) for 12 weeks, with flexible start times in February, June, and October. RMIT provides end-to-end support—including CV screening, interview preparation, and career mentoring—to ensure a smooth and rewarding experience for both students and employers.
