As part of the Vietnamese Prime-Minister Pham Minh Chinh’s 3-day visit to The Netherlands, Board Members of the Dutch Business Association Vietnam / Netherlands Vietnam Chamber of Commerce (DBAV/NVCC), Netherlands Chapter, had the privilege to exclusively meet with Prime-Minister Pham Minh Chinh, in The Hague, on Monday 12 December

Apart from discussing investment opportunities in various sectors in Vietnam and reaffirming the strong ties between the two countries, DBAV (Netherlands) Chairman, Joost Vrancken Peeters, conveyed requests of the Dutch business community in Vietnam. The 15-day visa waiver program, which would enable Dutch nationals to travel to Vietnam more freely, was brought to the table and the Prime-Minister promised that the matter, including the regulations concerned, would be looked into thoroughly. DBAV (Netherlands) Board Member, Nga Dang, addressed the complexity involving bonded-warehousing of industrial commodities in Vietnam, whereby foreign traders are being locally taxed on their trading activities within the bonded-warehouse in Vietnam, creating double-taxation, thereby conclicting with international tax treaties. The Prime-Minister indicicated that the Prime-Minister Office will investigate the matter.

Prime Minister Chinh: " I hope for a continued fruitful cooperation between the two countries, in particular between the Dutch Business Association Vietnam (DBAV) and the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI)."
