A panel of judges evaluated the nomination forms submitted by our members to select winners in each of the three categories. In each category, a company is chosen to advance and compete in the finals at the EuroCham's Sustainability Awards scheduled for November 17th, 2023.
Green Business of The Year
FrieslandCampina Vietnam stands at the forefront of sustainable practices, actively working towards a Net Climate Neutral status by 2050. In 2023, the company achieved a remarkable 90% reduction in CO2 emissions, embraced 100% biomass, and incorporated 15% solar energy consumption. Their dedication extends to circular economic development, focusing on energy and water savings, plastic reduction, responsible sourcing, and a vision for positive societal impact. With ambitious future goals, including a 63% reduction in CO2 emissions by 2030 and 100% recyclable packaging, FrieslandCampina is shaping a sustainable future for Vietnam.
Heineken Vietnam emerges as a sustainability pioneer, showcasing tangible metrics and comprehensive integration of green practices. Their "Brew A Better Vietnam" strategy underscores the commitment to year-over-year reductions in carbon footprint, resource usage, and waste generation. The company's innovative programs and sustainable culture initiatives contribute to continuous improvement and a positive environmental impact, setting a benchmark for others to follow.
Business Innovation Award
Nutreco's Sustainable Shrimp Farming Programme stands out as a beacon of innovation. This initiative provides farmers with tailored parameters, fostering sustainable practices in shrimp farming. Nutreco's commitment extends to novel ingredients, aiming for 5-10% from alternative sources by 2025, reducing plastic in packaging, and ensuring responsible sourcing of soy and palm ingredients to combat deforestation.
SME Excellence Award
