Dutch Business Association Vietnam Chairman presents DBAV economic advocacy agenda “Orange Business Book”

 

  • First book handed over to Vietnamese Minister of Industry and Trade

  • 16 Dutch Foreign Investors reveal their investment plans and suggestions for a better investment climate

  • Priority concern to Prime Minister of Vietnam: request to allow qualification of Dutch citizens for a short-term visa waiver

 

On 29 November, the Dutch Business Association Vietnam (DBAV) Chairman Alexander Koch handed over the first Orange Business Book to the Vietnamese Minister of Industry and Trade, H.E. Nguyen Hong Dien. The ceremony took place in the presence of Dutch Minister for Foreign Trade and Cooperation Development H.E. Liesje Schreinemacher. The Orange Book contains all investment plans & suggestions for a better investment climate from 16 Dutch FDI Companies in Vietnam.

Alexander Koch, Chairman DBAV: “The Orange Business Book is part of the ambition of DBAV to express the view of our members to the Vietnamese Government to improve the business and regulatory environment. Many of our member companies have contributed their views in this document, and we will continue working with the Vietnamese Government to improve the business environment for Dutch investors. This book is a living document and we will continue to update it as Dutch businesses progress and advance in Vietnam.”

 

Dutch priority concern to Prime Minister: Request to allow qualification of Dutch citizens for a short-term visa waiver for Vietnam

Following the increase of Dutch investments into Vietnam, the Dutch Business Association Vietnam on behalf of its members also asked for support to speed up the process of allowing Dutch citizens to enter Vietnam with a 15-day visa waiver. Granting the visa waiver to Dutch citizens would underlines the outstanding relations and further support and facilitate investments and trade between The Netherlands and Vietnam.
