Dutch Corner - The “Green Lungs” of Shinec Industrial Park


On 5th June 2023, the groundbreaking Ceremony of the Dutch Corner took place at Nam Cau Kien Industrial Park (Kien Bai commune, Thuy Nguyen district, Hai Phong city).

This activity is practical in response to World Environment Day, towards the 50th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between the Netherlands and Vietnam. It promises to be an ideal destination for everyone. 

The Dutch Corner's groundbreaking event raises awareness of environmental protection, biodiversity conservation, sustainable development, and climate change response.

Mr. Pham Hong Diep, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Shinec Joint Stock Company (investor of Nam Cau Kien Industrial Park) shared 

With the desire to create an extended green strip like the “green lungs” of the Industrial Park, the inner gardens are geographically connected,  about architecture and design style. In order to continue the chain of landscape trees from Phase 1 to Phase 2 which will last until the end of the limits of the Industrial Park, at the same time, it is desirable to build a Dutch cultural corner in Nam Cau Kien Industrial Park to introduce to the public about Dutch culture, country and people,  Nam Cau Kien has exchanged and received the help of domestic and foreign enterprises to form the Dutch corner design. 

The development of a digital economy, green economy, and circular economy is an inevitable trend for organizations and businesses. This year's World Environment Day 05/6 was launched by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) with the theme "Solutions to Plastic Pollution", focusing on the campaign #BeatPlasticPollution.

Taking action to conserve nature, regulate the climate, and reduce pollution

This year's theme aims to strongly convey the message of building a sustainable lifestyle, in harmony with nature; rational use of natural resources, biodiversity, and adaptation to climate change; Control and address plastic pollution through policies, initiatives, and participation in global and regional cooperation mechanisms; towards greener, cleaner lifestyles; increase recycling and reuse; promote the building of a green, circular economy and sustainable development; effectively enforce policies against plastic waste.
